My Story...

 

This is my website and launching pad to my other social networking sites dedicated to books and reading.  I am from the Central Coast of NSW, and currently studying at University, trying to expand my education for greater career satisfaction. I live with my partner and we have two crazy dogs who like to distract me from my reading and studying.​

My passion for reading started at the age of four and it hasn’t abated in the ensuing thirty two years.   I am always currently reading at least one book and I have a pile of books eagerly awaiting my attention.  I enjoy collecting books from my favourite authors and take pleasure from displaying my books in my personal library.  I have always dreamed of having a library not unlike the library at Trinity College in Dublin.  I have included a picture of this library so that you may also appreciate its beauty.  Whilst visiting this library I saw the Book of Kells and for me it was an amazing experience.  I stood for an hour gazing at the colourful pages of a book that is over a thousand years old, much to the disgust of my travelling companion.   Hey not everybody is as obsessed with books as I am. ​

Because I love books I have mixed emotions about e-readers and downloading books to read on iPad’s.  Don’t get me wrong, I love technology but my love of the printed word and the wonder and awe I feel for books is at war with my love of technology.  Maybe I will change my mind but for now I will stick with a good book.
